The other day I had an akward experience. First - my boss at work complained that his Windows 7 computer and his wifi wouldn't work together. I'm not your first choice in a hardware guy, and I had never had any problems with my computer. When I came home, my boss at home (my wife) complained that her Windows 7 computer couldn't connect to the network.
It's a desktop computer and the wifi connector isn't the best in the world. (HP Touch).
The weird thing was that our home computer could see other networks, but not our own. So I started deactivating and activating the wifi, router, modem and all.. No luck.
Then after some searching on the computer, I finally went to the router. First I changed the SSID - no luck. THEN I changed the channel. It was set to auto - voila. It worked.
